A nice way to come home...

Daniel offered to take Jaelynn for an hour or so while I made a quick trip to the gym! Taking advantage of the offer I hurried off...worried the whole time that maybe she was crying and misbehaving! There was nothing more wonderful to come home to, a sleeping husband and baby!

At the end of May during Memorial Day weekend, Daniel, Jaelynn, Lindsay and I ventured to the desert! Palm Desert to be exact! We are in the market for a new truck, so we thought we would rent a Chevy Silverado to try it out! It was a Great size to fit all of us! So comfortably we left early Saturday morning for what usually is a 3 hour drive! (Not on a holiday weekend) We arrived in time for lunch where we were staying for the weekend! Our good friends, the Howdens, had recently moved there from L.A. ,and we were excited to see them! The next morning after church we took a picnic lunch to an absolutely amazing desert palm oasis in the mountains! It was incredible to see a full stream of water with pools large enough to swim in surrounded by luscious palms! We enjoyed hiking, wading and swimming in the stream. Daniel, unfortunately was horribly sick and had to stay in bed! Jaelynn was completely worn out and her and I were both pretty sick ourselves the very next day! After a pleasant breakfast we headed home to recover! Not quickly either by any means, it took us almost 6 hours to get home! Who would have thought that the desert could be so beautiful? We enjoyed ourselves completely!

This is her newest adventure! She loves to explore everything on the saucer!

Look At That Face...

Life is so tough Miss Jaelynn Grace!
When Jaelynn found her thumb I was thrilled! We are always loosing "soothies" and you can't loose a thumb! Oh! Everyone is so quick to tell me how hard it is to to break the habit of thumbsucking! "At least you can throw a pacifier away", they say! What to do? So, When that thumb goes in the mouth now, instead of grabbing my camera...I grab the pacifier!

What To Do?

We were so thankful that Aunt Kristi from Arkansas and Grandma Pat from Washington made such a great effort to come and spend a week with us and to meet Jaelynn! Thank You Both!

Love Spending Time With Family!
