Gold Country...
Spontaneously we decided to join Amma, Papa and Aunt Lindsay on a quick trip to Angels Camp, about 7 hours from home, to visit some family friends. We left early Tuesday morning and headed north to a place that once was booming with men hoping to make it rich on Gold. We spent Wednesday visiting a gold mine that will soon be operating again, but for now is a tour. Jaelynn and I were unable to take the tour because Jaelynn was just a bit small to wear a hard hat. ( We look forward to going again one day when she is a bit older. ) While we waited for everyone to return from the tour, we talked to a man who was demonstrating how to pan for gold. He was full of stories and information about the men and women who came to California in hopes of returning home filthy rich. Very few ever did! It was suprising to hear how much men were willing to pay to have there clothes washed or a hot meal. Women were scarce in the mining camps and men were so desperate for something as simple as a homemade pie that they would pay as much as $200 for one. Our vacation was short but pleasurable, plus Jaelynn and I missed Daddy very much who had to stay home and work.

Sleeping Soundly With My Cow...
I love anything that is black and white, but especially my cow. He is super fuzzy and loves to be cuddled. After a long time of playing in the car we both decided to take a quick nap! My cow is in a funny storybook called "Click, Clack, Moo...Cows That Type" Mommy reads it to me all the time!

We were so excited to have Grandma Sandy, Aunt Sally, Uncle Simon and Uncle Jeremy come and visit us a week or so ago. They all had been in Bakersfield for a concert and decided to come down to L.A. when it was finished. Jaelynn and I waited up for them because we were so thrilled they were coming to spend time with us. Daniel decided he had better go to bed so he could survive yet another busy Monday. All of enjoyed our time together so very much and look forward to seeing Grandpa and Uncle Max in a couple of weeks.

A Day With Aunt Melissa...
Jaelynn and I drove to San Louis Obispo two weeks ago to visit Aunt Melissa. We had an amazing time downtown shopping and eating. After a busy day we went back to her house and had a lazy evening. Jaelynn helped Aunt Melissa make cookies and then fell fast asleep on the couch.

April 1, 2006
This last month Jaelynn Grace has grown in leaps and bounds. She has begun giggling and cooing all of the time. Daniel is afraid that he will never again get a quiet moment after she really begins to talk, between her and I. She has also started recognizing her name and has developed a slight fear of strange faces. Jaelynn defiantly prefers her Mommy and Daddy, alhough she does warm up quickly. Her beautiful head of hair is beginning to bald and we think she will be a blond before her 1st birthday. We are anxious to see though. And as for her eyes, they remain blue, much to everyone's surprise. She is such a blessing and I am so thankful to have found and avenue in which to share her.

Here We Go...
Consider this more of an official Jaelynn site. Upon demand from a few special people who do not see there granddaughter and niece near enough we have entered the blog world. I am not quite sure how to do this whole blogg thing, but I will try my very best to keep it up and keep pictures posted of our beautiful little princess. (She is especially cute when she is asleep and dreaming.) Also if there is anything else exciting happening I will try to squeeze that in as well.Kendra
